Established in 1942, Ambrosi is an Italian dairy company that offers the best quality selection, perfect seasoning/aging, fresh packaging and easy to use products.

The Story

Already at the beginning of the 20th century, the far-sighted and visionary Luigi Ambrosi, a young merchant with a marked propensity for business, began a journey made up of shrewd, intelligent, but also daring and courageous choices. 


The forerunner, Luigi Ambrosi, works incessantly and the commercial activities he manages are multiple and diversified and in the end the commitment and sacrifices are repaid. We thus witness an important growth of the family business. From the horse to the truck, business continues at a fast pace.

In 1942, Ottorino, the son of Luigi, a brilliant aviator, returned from the war at the age of 25 and began a successful diversification from the butter factory in Via Carlo Zima in Brescia, which his father had bought for him, thus taking his first steps into the world of agribusiness. These were the years of rebirth and, thanks to his high level of know-how and a wealth of knowledge, Ottorino was soon appreciated in the sector and made choices that proved to be successful.

The war is not yet over, but there is no time to give up and they are committed for the reconstruction.

On March 2, 1945, a bombing raid on Brescia hit the headquarters in Via Carlo Zima, destroying it.

In the 1960s, Ambrosi's main activity was the Measuring and marketing of Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano.

Following Ottorino's death, the leadership of the company passed to his sons. It was during those years that the brothers Luigi and Giuseppe Ambrosi realized the importance of expanding into foreign markets and, through a well thought-out internationalization strategy, they launched a series of important acquisitions, thus penetrating the markets of France, Germany, Japan and the USA.

Today, Ambrosi is the leader in Italy and abroad in the premium segment of the traditional Italian cheese market.
